Label this under the “I’m not surprised” category. In fact, I am surprised that I am writing about this. But I find myself chuckling.
Apparently, Kim Kardashian had a moment of interest in Robert Griffin III. Jack Burditt explains what happened when Kardashian saw Griffin a few hours after the draft.
“She sat next to me while we were watching the show on the monitor and RG3 is a few seats down, and during the commercial break she starts asking me questions about him,” Burditt told Eisen. “Like, ‘Now he’s a football player, right?’ I’m like, yeah, yeah, yeah. And [Kardashian asks] ‘And he just…something big happened, right?’ And I’m like, well yeah, he just was the No. 2 overall pick tonight. [Kardashian asks] ‘And what team?’ Washington. [Kardashian asks] ‘What’s Washington?’ Redskins. She goes, ‘I don’t know much about football, but, so what’s his deal?’ And I’m thinking, you stay away from him. This is a nice young man.”
Obviously this kind of stuff is something I don’t care about but I have to note that if Griffin wants to win in the league, he should consider. (Griffin is engaged and these comments came up while Kardashian was dating Kanye West, so it wouldn’t have worked.)
But for laughs, consider this.
- Kardashians equal success for athletes. Kris Humphries was a nobody until he married Kardashian. And when they broke up, he started putting up 20-point games. But it’s still to be seen if he can improve.
- And before Humphries, Kardashian was with Reggie Bush. That year, Bush and the Saints won their first ever Super Bowl.
- Sister Khloe married Lamar Odom and not long after, Odom was part of another Lakers championship.
- And the biggest win related to sports comes at the hand of their father Robert. He was the attorney for OJ Simpson during his murder trial.
Sports plus Kardashian equals success. But at the same time, Griffin is a smart man and knows better not to get involved. He’s too nice of a guy to be ruined by her.
Just a random thought. Now back to your regularly scheduled Sunday.
