I really hope this isn’t the end for Chad Johnson

Chad Johnson’s time with Miami was real short.

If you haven’t heard the news about Chad Johnson’s arrest and his release by the Dolphins, you should get up to speed first. And as I mentioned in an entry earlier today, I was trying to keep optimistic about Johnson.

Let me be open that I am against violence of any kind. I don’t condone any kind of attacks in public, at home or with anyone. So when I heard about Johnson’s arrest and what might have happened, I was hoping it was an accident.

Here's my quick thought on this: I was never a fan of Chad's antics with his over the top celebrations, TV shows or whatever, but I always felt that despite that nonsense, he had a good head on. He knew when to be serious and when to be funny. Sometimes it mixed in but I knew he wasn't a bad guy. So with no history of being arrested while being an NFL player, this truly surprised me yesterday. I want to believe that this was an accident but a part of me feels that despite his good past, he was always one step too close to the ledge sometimes.
