LaDainian Tomlinson’s NFL career is over.  The 11-year veteran will sign a one-day contract with the Chargers so he can officially retire with the team for whom be played 9 seasons and rushed for nearly 12,500 yards.

Where Tomlinson ranks on the all-time rushing list is a matter of black and white:  his 13,684 yards place him fifth all-time behind Emmitt Smith, Walter Payton, Barry Sanders and Curtis Martin.
