Nike to add team slogans on inside collar for every NFL team: What will 49ers’ jersey say?

Each NFL team will have a slogan in their inside collar, like several college teams.

From what I have heard and read during my uniform researching, Nike will add a little touch of the college scene to the new NFL uniforms they will be outfitting starting this April.

Each team will have their slogan imprinted on the inside collar of their jerseys. Redskins GM Bruce Allen revealed that “Team Effort Tradition” will be on his team’s jerseys.

It’s an interesting concept but I don’t know if it’s necessary. Only the players will see it before they wear the uniform and it will be unnoticeable on the field.

But it makes me wonder what some teams’ slogans will be. Oakland will probably have “Commitment to Excellence”, Buffalo will have “Wide Right” and New Orleans could have “Who Dat”.

But will they actually use those or something completely different? I am not sure since the Redskins aren’t going with a team slogan and are going something that I had never known was associated with their team.

I wonder what the 49ers’ ones will say. Your thoughts?

Here are a few that come to mind:

  • Gold Digger
  • Gold Standard
  • Nothing Finer Than a 49er

Nike will officially take over as the outfitter of the NFL on April 1. That is also the day the 49ers are expected to receive shipment on their new uniforms.

  1. I like what Harbaugh said in an interview after the Saints pre-season game… “We ask no quarter. We give no quarter.” great slogan in more than one way.
