St. Louis Rams COO Kevin Demoff was on a radio show and touched on a lot of various topics. One topic was the possibility of a new uniform for the Rams. At earliest the Rams could change to a new set would be 2014 but that hasn’t stopped the talk about what the new uniform set could look like.
The Rams have sported their current set since the 2000 season and it has remained mostly unchanged. The idea is that the team might want to revisit their uniform set from the 1960s.
This set harks back to the day of the ferocious defensive line led by Deacon Jones. Its simplistic feature of only two colors made this Rams team one of the best looking teams of all time.
Celebrating a great 20-14 win over BYU.
I grew up in the East Bay and naturally my cheering interests when it came to college sports was with the California Golden Bears. It was easy to cheer for Cal. They had a cooler team color scheme, they had at the time a better team and I knew more people with connections to that school.
San Jose State never came into the picture for me when I was a kid. In fact, I only saw highlights every now and then of SJSU football and thought that it was OK. It wasn’t until I started to apply for colleges did SJSU football becoming a deciding factor. I got accepted to San Francisco State and UC Santa Cruz but the reason why I chose SJSU was because of its distance and they had a football team I could cheer for.
The football team at that time was around .500 and that was enough for me to believe that team would be something. Last night was a wave of emotions all over again for my alma mater’s football team.
