One year ago on this day, the Warriors organization turned a leaf on the old and officially embraced anew.

I was there at the game. I sat a section away from the origin of the boos. I grew up a Warriors fan. I understood it.

It wasn’t a major hire or a trade that night. Instead, it was the frustration of a fan base letting their ownership know that false promises and mediocrity would no longer be accepted. On a night when the fans were reminded of the good times, they were also reminded of the decades of failure.

The team has since found its niche and are on their way to a playoff berth. The foundation is set for this organization and I truly believe that last year on this date, the turning point for the organization gave the team the boost it needed. The team is still climbing, but I say this is where it all started.
