I remember when I first caught wind of this site. It was back in 2009 when Mike Singletary would do interviews with various stations throughout the season. I didn’t hear the interviews. I didn’t know they were around. But when I heard about this site, I checked it and the transcript was then and there.

Since then, SRI had been a great resource for me to get the transcript and information from interviews that I had missed. It was a great tool for me to be somewhat “exclusive” in a way where I had the information and transcript to something that maybe another writer had not noticed.

In fact, this was one of the best things about being a writer, having that opportunity to listen to interviews from other stations that I just couldn’t get a hold of during the live airing. It’s sad to see this site go down after having it provide so much for me. It truly was a great medium that was underrated in so many ways.

I hope that we can see it return or something similar. It was a great tool and so helpful as I was dipping my feet into the water of sports writing.
