After watching Game 5, it dawned on me again at how wonderful this playoff run has been for the entire league. I don’t know if it’s a product of the lockout with players playing with more energy, but we have some memorable moments in the playoffs.

I can’t remember a crazier comeback than what we saw what the Bruins did the the Maple Leafs in Game 7 of the first round. That’s the kind of stuff that can propel or haunt a franchise.

The Sharks and Kings gave us the most evenly matched matchup in the playoffs. Both went to lengths to outduel each other and getting to Game 7 (I was there) was amazing. Unfortunately the Sharks lost, but it was a great series.

The Cup Final has been great too. Overtimes (especially the triple overtime in Game 1) gave us an instant classic. The entire series has been a joy to watch and for any newcomers to hockey, the playoffs this year has given them every reason to love and follow this sport. I am just happy to have watched and have been a part of this run. It’s been just so fun!
