I should have taken BART.
With the Bay Bridge closed over the weekend and visiting teams to play the Oakland A’s staying in San Francisco, Tampa Bay Rays pitcher David Price (who starts tonight) decided to take the cab to the Coliseum.
BIG MISTAKE.
Instead of taking BART, he was stuck with a cab ride that cost him over $200.
On Twitter, Price detailed his miserable ride to Oakland.
That last tweet comes from A’s pitcher Sonny Gray, a fellow Vanderbilt alum. Oops.
But hey, $202 isn’t much for a Cy Young Award winner, is it? I mean, he does have money for a helicopter.
Thanks for the entertaining tweets, David! Maybe this ordeal will be a distraction to his performance today. We’ll see.
But at the end of the day... 
Chump change for these guys. If it were someone who had to make rent this weekend, I’d sympathize.
Why didn’t he want to take BART and grab some buddy times with his fellow teammates? He probably had to contend with an unsymphathetic taxicab driver playing classical music on his damn radio…those are the days I am glad I am deaf!
