LOS ANGELES – The Anaheim Ducks have been better than expected this season and the Los Angeles Kings have not been quite as good as advertised.
That’s why today’s Stadium Series contest between the Ducks and Kings (9:30 ET, NBC Sports Network) is an intriguing matchup. It’s a meeting of the NHL’s most consistent team and a Kings squad that is still trying to rediscover the consistency it knew when it won the Stanley Cup in 2012.
The Ducks have won 20 of their last 23 games, while the Kings have won only four games in their last 14.
The teams have met twice this season, with each team winning once. The Kings’ win came in a shootout, while the Ducks beat the Kings 2-1 in regulation on Thursday night.
