So let me get this straight. Either Nike or the NFL thinks this is a good idea. Good enough for a proposal?

Essentially, they’re going to treat Thursday Night Football like some extravagant gala that requires both teams to wear nice new uniforms for this one event only. They’re treating Thursday Night Football as something bigger than it is.

And of course, this will lead to discussion and boost up merchandise sales, right?

The league doesn’t need this. This doesn’t need to happen.  There doesn’t need to be flashy new uniforms just for one game to boost merchandise sales.
