My 2015 MLB predictions might have some right guesses

Giancarlo Stanton and the Marlins look to make a splash.

Last year I predicted the Texas Rangers to make it to the World Series. A whole bunch of injuries derailed that idea. But here are my picks for this year. I expect them to be possibly wrong as well.

** = Wild Card

AL WEST

  1. Seattle
  2. Anaheim **
  3. Oakland
  4. Texas
  5. Houston

AL CENTRAL

  1. Cleveland
  2. Detroit **
  3. Chicago
  4. Kansas City
  5. Minnesota

AL EAST

  1. Baltimore
  2. Boston
  3. Toronto
  4. New York
  5. Tampa Bay

NL WEST

  1. Los Angeles
  2. San Diego **
  3. San Francisco
  4. Colorado
  5. Arizona

NL CENTRAL

  1. St. Louis
  2. Chicago
  3. Pittsburgh
  4. Milwaukee
  5. Cincinnnati

NL EAST

  1. Washington
  2. Miami **
  3. New York
  4. Atlanta
  5. Philadelphia

PLAYOFFS

WC: DET def. LAA // MIA def. SD

DIVISIONAL: BAL def. DET // CLE def. SEA // MIA def. LA // WAS def. STL

CHAMPIONSHIP: BAL def. CLE // WAS def. MIA

WS: BAL def. WAS

Now that would be a fun World Series matchup. I don’t think teams that overloaded this offseason (Cubs, Padres) will get far. The Marlins are a young team and this will be the first of many years of postseason runs. The popular pick this year are the Nationals but I feel that once again Matt Williams will mismanage the team. It’s time for Buck Showalter to finally get his ring.
