Indians’ new dark navy jersey is really dark

During the offseason, the Indians announced that they would make their primary home caps and their alternate road caps’ shade of blue match their throwback jerseys. This made sense in terms of having some uniformity in their uniform.

On Wednesday, they wore their alternate cap in addition with their alternate jersey. This made sense for the jersey to match the caps. However, the shade of blue, which the team calls “Midnight Navy” looked really dark. So dark that at first glance, it looks black.

The Indians used to wear this shade of navy during their early years when they moved to Jacobs field. However, I don’t ever recall the jersey matching the cap like this. Instead now we have an identity that is very dark and I am not sure if this is a good look for the team. What do you think?
