The JaVale McGee and Shaq beef is stupid

When Shaq started clowning JaVale McGee for his lowlights, I was OK with it. After all, if McGee did something dumb, I was fine with Shaq pointing it out. But last night’s beef was too much.

McGee did not do anything to warrant a huge mock trailer from Shaq. There was no reason to attack McGee, who has been playing way better this year.

Am I OK with the Warriors reaching out to Turner? I’m on the fence. One, it shouldn’t be their problem. But secondly, this is a bully mentality and it’s not right.

The Twitter beef between the two has escalated and I am sure this won’t end unless Turner or the NBA punishes either or both men.

This is all childish.

Homer Simpson is being ‘inducted’ into the Hall of Fame

This brings me so much joy!

My love for The Simpsons and baseball came at the near same time for me as a young kid. It was only until my later years in high school did I start to really enjoy and appreciate The Simpsons. At the same time, my passion for baseball bloomed to a high fever pitch with the Oakland A’s making their run in the baseball world with Moneyball.

I look back at this episode and I proclaim this to be the show’s most perfect episode. Best ever? That is debatable. But the best story of all time? Absolutely. This show had no side stories. It was one continuous journey to see Homer’s triumph, then his fall, then his resurrection back to glory. It was funny. It was unfortunate. It was difficult to get all nine players to voice act.

But in the end, it beat the Cosby’s and helped establish The Simpsons as the real deal. And for Cooperstown to celebrate them like this? Absolutely wonderful! I want to go back to Cooperstown just for this exhibit. Maybe I will. Maybe I will!

Monday morning hangover: Super Bowl LI edition

Accept the truth. Tom Brady is the G.O.A.T.

It’s crazy to think that since his first Super Bowl win in the 2001 season to this win from this season, Brady has established himself as the greatest of all time. He has been consistent and he has been unbelievably good. That’s seven Super Bowl appearances and five wins. He has four Super Bowl MVP wins as well.

He is fortunate to have that kind of stability. Bill Belichick has been a solid rock in the Patriots organization. The players have bought in to the system. It works and the Patriots are reaping the benefits of it.

The debate of whether or not Brady is better than Joe Montana has been put to rest. Even in my most biased state of being a 49ers fan, I can’t argue anymore. Brady is the greatest. Montana may have never lost a Super Bowl but Montana never played so well for so long. Plus, Brady has had a wheel of changes to the roster and still made players around him better.
