Warriors’ undefeated streak may be over but the big picture is still in their sights

“What good is winning all of these games in a row when you don’t win the last game?”
– Stephen Curry

Watching this Golden State Warriors win streak was so amazing. At their best, the Warriors were unstoppable. They were kings of basketball, jumping to huge leads and having the game decided after three quarters.

For the tough games during the streak, they showed heart and determination. Big deficits or off nights, the Warriors played smart and kept the game close enough to win at the end.

Stephen Curry elevated his game to another level we’ve never seen before. Draymond Green became such an integral part of the streak. Luke Walton masterfully orchestrated everything to near perfection in Steve Kerr’s absence.

The Warriors played basketball at a level we have no seen in this generation.

The Warriors weren’t expected to have a great shot at beating the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night. The Bucks have a lot of young talent and the Warriors were coming off one of the most exhausting games of the season. If they were going to lose, this was the one we expected to see.

But as the quote above states, team leader Stephen Curry knows the bigger picture. The records and accolades are great, but that’s not the main goal.

The Warriors will enjoy this accomplishment and what they achieved. It was a great run. But losing this game isn’t that big of a deal. As long as they can win that final game, nothing else matters.
