Why are NFL players getting in trouble a lot more than they did in the past?

What a crazy season this has been. Ray Rice. Ray McDonald. Adrian Peterson. Greg Hardy. Just saying those names and immediately think about their recent issues off the field. Domestic violence, child abuse, bullying and there are a ton of other players out there with DUIs, drug use and many other crimes.

I am not sure what is going on. I don’t remember this many news hits of NFL players causing trouble when I was a kid. Maybe there were but it wasn’t as public. Or maybe it’s because we live in an age where these common mishaps are just more accessible and easier to expose.

But why are these athletes screwing up? Was it something from their upbringing? Is it the fame and fortune? What is making them act the way they do?

Want to win your fantasy league? Some of these suggestions might work

Another year of fantasy football. I don’t expect to have all the answers and some of these suggestions could be completely wrong. But I will impart my wisdom among you. It’s up to you if you want to believe my advice to be of any value. I may be completely wrong. Good luck in fantasy football this year!

1 – Broncos offense will be on fire again.

Let’s take a look at this offense right now. They didn’t really get worse. The loss of Eric Decker isn’t a huge hit but the potential growth in Montee Ball could be huge. Peyton Manning is still playing at an elite level and the receivers are still very good. I don’t thin the Broncos will repeat the same offensive numbers they did last season but I don’t think they will tail off that much either. If you get a chance to grab a Broncos offensive weapon, do it. Even kicker Matt Prater is the top kicker in the league in my opinion. I think at this point, you should look at how early you want to get at least one of the receiving weapons. It would be a good investment if you did.

My own fantasy draft advice that helps you win or lose

If you have the opportunity to draft Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, Cam Newton or Drew Brees in the first round, you should consider. Based off their performances last year, they should do the same this year and put you up the top in terms of individual scoring.

In the league that used to be about running backs first, now it’s more geared towards the passing game. You should still get a running back in the second round, but if you can secure an elite fantasy quarterback first, that gives you stability in one of the most important positions.
