WrestleMania 31 is here and I am actually going to be there in attendance. I have always wanted to attend this extravaganza and now I am here. But what’s going to happen tonight? Here are my predictions for the matches for all your curious folks.
Kickoff Pre-show: ANDRE THE GIANT MEMORIAL BATTLE ROYAL
– Konnor, Viktor, Kane, Big Show, Darren Young, Titus O’Neil, Jack Swagger, The Miz, Ryback, Curtis Axel, Fandango, Adam Rose, Zack Ryder, Erick Rowan, Sin Cara, Damien Sandow, Goldust, Mark Henry, Heath Slater, a NXT Superstar TBD, others TBA
I don’t know who is going to win this. Last year’s champ Cesaro isn’t even on the actual PPV event, but as a pre-show deal. Great career booster this thing gives, huh? And this show gets that treatment now. I predict Damien Sandow will get the push he needs by winning this. I was hoping Adrian Neville would be in it, but it’s Hideo Itami and I was hoping that the NXT guy would win and get a roster push.

Kickoff Pre-show: FATAL 4 WAY FOR WWE TAG TEAM TITLES:
– The Usos vs. Los Matadores vs. Big E and Kofi Kingston vs. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd (C)
The only legit tag team here are the Usos. The current champs have been thrown together but surprisingly have done really well as a duo. Is this tag team union a thing that has a long-term plan or not? I care not for the Matadors or the New Day. Likely the Usos and Cesaro/Kidd will have the highlights of the match to further their storyline.
I say Cesaro and Kidd retain in a pretty decent match before the actPPV.

AJ LEE AND PAIGE VS THE BELLA TWINS
How in the world is the Divas title not defended? A fatal 4 way was too much to ask? I don’t care about this match at all. Somebody is going to turn. Either Brie turns on Nikki or AJ turns on Paige. Something like that.
The Bellas are winning this I think.
===
SETH ROLLINS VS RANDY ORTON
I see here Orton putting Rollins over. At this point, Rollins is on a very hot streak since winning the briefcase and in order to make this night a huge night for him, Rollins has to win. And he will do it clean. That will really sell him. I expect a lot of great bumps in this match too. But ultimately, Rollins wins this and it sets up for a very good opening to cash in that briefcase.
===
UNDERTAKER VS BRAY WYATT
If Bray Wyatt wins, then he gets to go over by defeating the Underetaker. You don’t just let anyone beat the Undertaker. But then again, what’s the point of having Undertaker return for a match and lose at WrestleMania again? He’s already really old and there is not point of this return. I don’t know what direction this is going but if the WWE is looking ahead, then Bray Wyatt needs to win this.
===
TRIPLE H VS STING
Simply put, Sting will win. Triple H has had a good history of putting people over at WrestleMania and even though Sting doesn’t need it, it helps further the storyline and gives the fans that one WrestleMania moment that they will never forget. Sting winning is the way to go about it. Plus it will boil over into Raw which could be very interesting.

WWE INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE LADDER MATCH
– Dolph Ziggler vs. R-Truth vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Luke Harper vs. Stardust vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Bad News Barrett (C)
Who benefits from this the most? It has to be either Ambrose or Daniel Bryan. Ambrose is the new fan favorite and him with the title could lead to a great several months of title defenses. On the other hand, Bryan winning gives the title some legitimacy. How often does a former champion become the Intercontinental champion and stay in that part of the card for a while? Rare.
But this may come down to a surprise title defense by Bad New Barrett. He’s been complaining about the belt and somehow, against all odds, ends up retaining it. I’d like to see that happen.

WWE UNITED STATES TITLE MATCH
– John Cena vs. Rusev (C)
John Cena winning would sell him as the underdog winner who loves America. That would be a great storyline. But enough of Cena. Give me Rusev, the angry man with Lana (who should be there), and his undefeated streak. A Rusev win will really propel him to the top and in time, might be in the championship picture. Cena will probably show some might strength and somehow win instead, thus giving us a lot of boredom. That is how it probably will happen. Cena will bore us again and not put anyone over.

WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar (C)
This is how it’s going to go down. These two will have a pretty decent match, but somehow Vince McMahon gets involved and says that a controversial finish wasn’t good enough so he declares himself as special guest referee to the match. Then, sadly, Roman Reigns wins the match. Lesnar, in a fit of anger, beats up Reigns after the match. That allows Seth Rollins to cash in his briefcase and become the new champion. That’s the way I think it may go down.
But in reality, Rollins might not cash it in at all. If that’s the case, then there has to be a happy ending finish. That’s the way this PPV always ends and rarely now it seems they are willing to let a heel take the spotlight at the end of the show. I want to see Lesnar win and retain but if the WWE is going (which they should) with a shock factor, Rollins cashing in the MITB briefcase is the way to go.
** Alternate thinking. Rollins go for the cash in and Sting, attempting to foil Triple H one last time, prevents it from being successful. Now that’s shocking.

I hope it is a good show. Either way, it’s WrestleMania! I will be on my Twitter live-tweeting throughout the show from my seat. Enjoy!
