Ken Griffey Jr., Mike Piazza make Hall of Fame and there should have been more

I was certain these two would get in and they did. Griffey even got the highest vote percentage ever. That’s pretty cool. (How could three voters not include him?)

But I look at the rest of the list and wonder.

Where is Trevor Hoffman? Where is Jeff Bagwell? Tim Raines?

I can understand that they were left off by some because they want to get other players on the fence in. But this is a shame and a real slap in the face where guys like Jason Kendall and David Eckstein, who were good baseball players but not great, got votes.

I will attend the Hall of Fame ceremony this year. I want to see Griffey. He is one of my favorites. But I wish there was more. There should have been more.
